WordPress Questions

How does WordPress site Care Plans compare to Essential Hosting?

Premium care plans are crafted to save you countless work hours and money on WordPress sites issues and daily maintenance such as: security hardening, plugins and themes updates, speed optimizations, uptime monitoring and more. In the other hand our Essential plans are designed for those who already have a team dedicated to managing their WordPress Installation for them and only need more speed and better security improvements.

Where are JungleWP servers located?

What is great with JungleWP® is that we give you the freedom to choose for nearly every solution we bring to you. Part of that is allowing you to choose from multiple geographic areas to deploy your Pod (Server). On top of that we make sure that your site is visible worldwide and without interruption, to improve your organic reach and grow your audience.

What is the benefit of JungleWP’s Dedicated Servers over Shared Hosting?

A dedicated JungleWP® server allows our clients the flexibility of fully utilizing the server resources to their site’s unique needs and therefore allowing a faster and more secure environment protected from security vulnerabilities. With shared hosting, a customer is sharing a less secure common space with hundreds sites and is limited to the available resources shared with other customers.

Can I Try JungleWP for Few Days to Compare to My Host?

We don’t have a trial period, but we proudly stand behind our service and have a 30-day money-back guarantee on all plans (including our extra-options). If you cancel your hosting account during the first 30 days of service we will issue a full refund. This means you can try out JungleWP® risk-free for 30 days!

Does JungleWP Provides Free Migrations?

All of our plans include free hands-off migrations. We transfer your WordPress website on your behalf without any need of your involvement. Special care is taken to ensure that everything is properly functional thereafter. In case of large sites (exceeding 600MB) or errors, a $90 fee may apply per each site.

How Long Does It Take to Migrate My Site? Will My Site Be Down?

After signing up you’ll be able to request a free hands-off migration immediately from our onboarding email. We’ll get in touch, discuss the specifics, and schedule a migration window that works best with your schedule. We will complete your migrations typically within 24 hours, but it could take up to 3 business days. You’ll be notified of your migration status by our team and you can track the status in our MyPods dashboard. Moving your site to JungleWP® usually won’t incur any downtime. Sites that are updated continuously, such as ecommerce, membership, and community sites, must be placed into maintenance mode during the migration to prevent data loss.

Can I Ask for Additional Options (Storage, Extra Sites, Etc.)

It depends on what your site needs. You can either upgrade your current plan, or we can customize the storage space and the compute power of your hosting plan seamlessly. We also have an effective alternative with our Media Offloading extra option that copies files from your WordPress Media Library to Amazon S3, and deliver your site medias and assets globally with low latency, high transfer speeds, on Amazon CloudFront.

How Caching Works With JungleWP?

JungleWP® already have several types of cache, which are all automatically done at the CDN and server-level. This can be optionally controlled by WP Rocket plugin which is installed, by default, with all Premium Care options. WP Rocket allows you to maximize the built-in caching and optimization features JungleWP® has to offer. Read More

Does JungleWP Supports WooCommerce Sites?

JungleWP® server-level optimizations and caching rules are already in place for popular ecommerce solutions such as WooCommerce and Easy Digital Downloads. Out of the box, certain pages that should never be cached, such as cart, my-account, and checkout, are excluded from caching. JungleWP® automatically bypass the cache when WooCommerce items or add items in cart are detected to ensure a smooth checkout process.

Is JungleWP PCI Compliant?

JungleWP® configures your server securely, manages updates, and installs a firewall; however, this is not enough to make you PCI compliant. PCI compliance is fundamentally about the practices of your organization. We are not able to audit your site to verify that you’re doing things right either. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t be PCI compliant when hosting your website with JungleWP®. In fact, we have many clients who have worked with third-party auditors to pass PCI compliance scans and they have been able to pass the audit just fine after a little fine-tuning on both our end and theirs. Check out additional details regarding PCI compliance on JungleWP.

Does JungleWP Supports Multisites?

JungleWP® supports WordPress multisite installations starting from our Multisites plans. We can assist with migrating multisites and you can use our free SSL certificates with them, JungleWP® supports free certificates with Let’s Encrypt for all your subdomains. When combined with WP Ultimo, JungleWP® will automatically synchronize your client’s domains and issue certificates. Please check this article for additional notes regarding multisite setups. For WAAS (WordPress as a Service) with more than 100 domains, you can also automatically allow Unknown Domains and ask your clients to use a free service like Cloudflare to point their domains to your Multisite installation and benefit from Free CDN and Free SSL features.

How Does JungleWP Count Multisites?

Multisite setups are considered one install each. For example, you could have one multisite with 5 child sites, this is still considered one install because all the child sites in the network share the same installation and database.

How does JungleWP Backup and Restores Multisites?

In the case of the multisite setup, JungleWP® will take the backup of full site (child sites + Parent site). When performing the restore process, restoring from the child site will restore only that particular child site files and Database tables, and restoring the main site will restore the entire site files along with the child site files.

On Staging Can I Select Changes I want to push live?

Yes, you can selectively push the changes from your staging to live. Your staging area will allow you to include/exclude the Files/Database from your staging site.

Do My Sites Get a dedicated IP Address?

Yes, your dedicated server comes by default with a unique IP. It has many useful use such as allowing you to access your website when the DNS is not setup, providing increased speed when the traffic load is high, and bringing increased security. Additionally JungleWP® provides a floating IP address that you can assign to your dedicated servers and instantly remap between other servers in the same region. This allows you to implement a failover mechanism to build a redundant infrastructure.

Will JungleWP Host my Emails?

We offer transactional emails with 100% guaranteed deliverability and minimal email hosting for your site in case you don’t have already an email address for your site. But we don’t offer personal or business email accounts in our plans since we fully commit your server resources to WordPress hosting. Instead We always recommend Microsoft Office 365, one of the world’s best email services for professionals and individuals, since it has a lot of features for a great price and allows you to use your own domain name.

Does JungleWP have Git support?

We have the Git client available at JungleWP® so you can SSH in and pull your own Git repo down from Github, Gitlab, Bitbucket, or any other third-party. Read more
